My background is in instrument development for linear and non-linear microscopy, with a focus on life-science applications. I like the variety in the work that comes with instrument development; the optics and the electronics as well as the software. After more than 10 years in academia, I decided to transfer to industry and my current role as an optics consultant. I enjoy bringing order to data, information, and projects.

My dedication to optics has led me to three Nordic countries where I have conducted studies in diffractive optics, plasmonics, optical tweezers and microalgae. Recently, my focus has been on illumination design and testing. I truly enjoy being part of all the steps in product design and research, from analytical formulation through simulations and prototype building into production. I believe that a friendly attitude together with skillful optical engineering can change the world into a better place.

I have spent many years fascinated by optics and lasers, working both in industry and academia. My experience ranges from building and evaluating lab prototypes, theoretical evaluation and design, to development for mass production. I speak several languages and I am able to communicate complicated relationships in a pedagogical manner. Through my consultancy and sales work, I am used to adopting a client's perspective.

I have worked with optics, lasers and photonics systems in contexts spanning from fundamental research to applied field systems. My experience include design, building and evaluating advanced experiments and prototypes, e.g., for metrology and imaging applications. I am structured, analytic  and always aim to be productive at the highest level of quality. I truly enjoy working with light.

I'm an engineer and scientist in the field of optics, physics, and lasers. In both industry and academia I have done research and development of high-tech electro-optical and photonic products for metrology and imaging applications. Developing new technologies for a sustainable future and medical advance is both a great opportunity and a strong motivator. Mastering light is a driving force.
